UNITED IGBO ELDERS COUNCIL (UNIEC) WORLDWIDE

Pays

Tribute To:

BABA AYO ADEBANJO, A LEADER SO DEAR TO THE IGBO NATION AS TO ALL MEN OF GOODWILL.

The Igbo nation is in unison saddened by news of the demise of the illustrious Chief Ayo Adebanjo, a great leader of the Afenifere, of the South and Middle Belt Forum, and champion of peace based on justice. While the world mourns him, Pa Adebanjo represents for the Igbo nation in particular more than a tribute can tell:

1– Pa Adebanjo believed in the unity of the Igbo and Yoruba peoples, the correction of any mistakes of the past, and an abiding handshake across the Niger between the two brotherly nations.

2– He correctly assessed that unity and mutual understanding between the Igbo and Yoruba would be a sure foundation for civilizational peace in Nigeria, and for her progress and development.

3– Pa Adebanjo fully understood and sympathized with the cries of marginalization and other targeted injustices against the Igbo in Nigeria, and firmly advocated for their solution. He not only loved the Igbo and Yoruba, but also saw in the Middle Belt and other Nigerians, necessary equal players in bringing about the desired New Nigeria.

4– Pa Adebanjo denounced in particular the denial of the Presidency to the Igbo, insisting that the office not only rotates South, but specifically to the Igbo peoples. He mobilized most Nigerians to support this legitimate demand, which majority of the people overwhelmingly did across all nooks and corners of the country, defying, religion, tribe, tongue, and other man-made cleavages.

5– Pa Adebanjo consistently advocated for the unconditional release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu; condemned the attribution of criminality to his peaceful agitations for self-determination, the orchestrated killings in the East purported to be in connection with an “insurgency,” and the several unlawful profilings of the Igbo on account of their struggles for equal treatment and legitimate rights.

6– Pa Adebanjo was particularly unwavering in also condemning the military-imposed Constitution, and saw in a new Peoples’ Constitution, preferably through a political Restructuring, as an urgent desideratum in addressing the national question. In all this, the great man always did his best to carry along those who present themselves as “Igbo leaders.”

From the Egbe Omo Oduduwa, to Afenifere, Action Group, and down to the UPN, Pa Adebanjo was a consistent champion of inclusion, mutual consideration, and peace. Because of these qualities his leadership of our brotherly Yoruba nation was natural, which he performed with outstanding results.

7– Pa Adebanjo was not a corrupt leader, he never believed in public office as means for self-enrichment, and never oppressed any group or individuals on account of anything.

The United Igbo Elders Council (UNIEC) Worldwide, painfully misses this noble man, and extends to the family, the great Yoruba race, and all Nigerians of goodwill, our deepest condolences.

Pa Adebanjo left when needed most by suffering Nigerians; he has done his best, left an excellent legacy, and a worthy template for peace based on justice, which all Nigerians may wish to abide with if the country is to survive.

SIGNED:
1) His Lordship, Justice Alpha Ikpeama – Director-General.

God Has Blessed Nigeria, Go And Hold Your Corrupt Leaders Accountable – Trump

By Prince-Solomon Okorie

God has blessed your country. Go back and hold your corrupt leaders accountable. Stop loitering the streets of America.

If Americans were docile and refused to initiate Revolution, then you would never see such an amazing nation like USA.

If France kept mum in 1775, you wouldn’t see a developed nation like France.

If you like, keep playing tribal politics and continue to suffer while your ruling class loot with reckless abandon.

Stop depending on WHO for subsidized drugs. At your age, you ought to have home-made drugs for common ailments. On that ground, America has left WHO.

Go and hold your ruling class accountable for rots in health care delivery. When they are sick, they run to USA for treatment with your national resources.

Keep playing tribal politics but get out of USA. If you’re ready, you will take over your country from destiny destroying ruling class as they did in France.

All decent nations have accurate population index. Even in hell fire, God has a record of those in it. America belongs to Americans not indians, Nigerians, Chinese, Mexicans, and other nationals who want good life and escaped to USA.

We fought for liberty and advancement. Keep quiet and wait for angels to repair your bad roads. Remain dumb as ministers, Governors, commissioners, etc loot in trillions.

Return to your country and change the narratives. No more running to America with your heavily pregnant wives. You want them to give birth in America and automatically become citizens of America. That is revoked immediately.

Editor’s viewpoint: The message is clear. Let it sink into the skulls of all those who desire a new Nigeria

My Style Of Empowerment Is To Make People fully Established And Successful- Chief Okpata Ozua

By Prince-Solomon Okorie

“Currently, I’m building a shopping complex for the indigents, the less privileged, and widows. The building is at the completion stage. The engineer designed the shops like self-contained partitions; the reason for such design is to avoid anybody encroaching on each other’s space and to avoid fights among themselves.”

“When I finish with the shops, I will load the shops with variety of goods that they will be selling before handing the shops over to the prospective beneficiaries to manage as their own business. From that point, the shops becomes their own. If I don’t load or equip the shops with goods before handover, I will feel that I’m creating another problem for them, the problem of raising money to start the business on their own which be difficult for them to achieve; that’s what some people usually do in the name of empowerment, and that will keep the shops empty for years; and that will not serve the purpose for which I built the shops. That is not my style of empowerment; my style is to make people fully established, Successful, not to get them stranded halfway like some politicians often do.

Besides, some people may think that I’m doing all this to be recognised by state or federal government, probably for an appointment. I have said several times that I don’t have any interest in politics. God has given me an appointment with the money he blessed me with to empower and take care of the indigents, less privileged, and widows, and I am okay with that.” He affirmed.

“Moreover, behind the shopping complex is Widow’s Lodge, where I’m building 4-bedroom bungalows for widows, which is also at the roofing stage. For over 3 years now I have been embarking on youths empowerment programs; just in November 2024, about two months ago, I distributed tricycles, shuttle buses, tricycle pickups, and motorcycles to the youths in my community.

If all the rich men and women can empower and take care of these less privileged ones within their neighborhood in some way, we can collectively build a wealthy society devoid of criminals and beggers.”

The highest investment anyone can do is to invest in humanity, have you seen any Anambara man or any other who indulges in empowering the less privileged that ever become poor, for instance, my role model is Chief Arthur Eze, (aka Eze Nukpo), have you ever seen him go out of money, he get richer in the process. So I encourage everyone to look around, you will see someone who needs your help today, if you do God will bless you. That’s my new year message.”
