I decided to run for the office of chairman Akpunku Estate because I was nominated to do so. During our last meeting, I was nominated twice: first, to be vice to the incumbent chairman, the second nomination came during same meeting for me to be interim chairman, to hold brief for the incumbent until election is conducted, but I declined because at that point I do not believe that our chairman and financial secretary were serious when they announced their intention to resign. The chairman in his wisdom then set up electoral committee.

Now that it’s conspicuously obvious that we are to elect new administrators. Let me intentionally inform the house of my readiness to serve the estate for the good of all, and this can only happen via your vote.

I will bring a permanent solution to all the problems we face as tenants of Akpunku Estate, I will initiate a good working relationship between tenants and landlord /Estate manager.

if I’m voted for, I will serve and my service will not agree with everything imposed on us by the estate manager that is detrimental to the tenants welfare,

We shall define the responsibilities or role of the landlord and role of tenants as regards estate facility maintenance and set boundaries, I will not allow tenants solving problems of the landlord or landlord solving problems of the tenants, not mixing up these duties which is the root of our problems.

Citing the prepaid metre and water problem as case studies, it’s not the duty  of the tenants to provide prepaid metre for ourselves since we can’t make use of it when we leave the estate. I will ensure that the landlord pays for prepaid metre and provide prepaid for the rest of the flats. While we manage the old sumo in the old borehole, we shall provide permanent solution to our water problems . Licking roofs and other faulty facilities in the Estate will be reported to the estate manager/landlord to solve.

1. As part of strategic plans for holistic economic recovery, the Federal Government has commenced the construction of the 700km Lagos- Calabar Coastal Highway, spanning 9 States with two spurs leading to the Northern States. This was expressed by the Honourable Minister of Works, His Excellency Sen. Engr. Nweze David Umahi,CON, during the official handover of the first phase of the project, made up of 47.47 kilometers dual carriageway, to Hitech Construction Company Ltd, and which is to be constructed in concrete pavement.

1. The Hon. Minister who was in company with the Federal Ministry of Works’ Controller in charge of Lagos State, Engr. (Mrs) O. I. Kesha, emphasized the need for all contractors handling Federal Government’s road projects to deliver within a record time, noting that the government would not allow variation arising from delays or slow pace of work once mobilization had been done. He, however, commended very highly Hitech Construction Company Nigeria Ltd for being reputable for quality and speedy delivery of jobs. He acknowledged their efforts in starting work immediately after the contract was awarded. He said, ” They have completed some filling of 1.3 kilometer from the day the project was awarded to them. It shows the speed they are going to deploy to this project. Within a couple of weeks, we awarded the project to them, they mobilized a lot of dredging equipment, and you can see that they have recovered 1.3 kilometer of section one of the phase”

The Honourable Minister who also visited project sites at the Queen’s Drive Ikoyi, the Third Mainland bridge top deck, the under water, the Eddo bridge, the Eko bridge and Carter bridge expressed the determination of the Federal Government to carry out a comprehensive rehabilitation of the bridges which he said are critical links between the Mainland and the Island of Lagos, the economic hub of the country. These repairs are expected to cover not only the top of the bridge but also the under bridge works. He said, ” At the Third Mainland bridge, we have three or four critical elements to be rehabilitated. The first one is the deck, and the deck is about 11 kilometers × two. That is dual carriageway, including the ramps, and it has been done by CCECC. They have done very beautiful jobs, but we have not concluded. Before the end of March, we’ll be concluding the asphalt milling and the reasphalting. He further said, “But that is not all our commitment there. We are installing the guardrails, we are replacing the lights with solar light, we are going to put some decorative lights too, and then we are going to put CCTV camera both on top and under the bridge to check insecurity and illegal mining of sand, which is causing scouring on the piles and the pipe bits. The second job is that some sections of the slab are deflected, and so what we have done is to get an expert to understudy the level of deflection. That’s the tendons of the slab that deflected. And so we are going to cut open the slabs, enter and then look at it, scoop it, and then reinstate the tendons of the slab. There’s nothing to worry about. It’s been done at a Eko bridge by Buildwell. So this one is not a threat to us at all.
2. He commended what Julius Berger Nigeria Ltd is doing already, which is restoration of deteriorated peirs and peir caps including the cover of peirs and peircaps themselves, and said the piles which he also inspected were the most critical of the works to be done.

3. Earlier in their respective remarks, the State Controller, Federal Ministry of Works and the representatives of Hitech Construction Nigeria Ltd, Julius Bergger Nigeria Ltd, China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation Ltd, and. Buildwell Nigeria Ltd assured the Honourable Minister that they would continue to work in line with the spirit of excellence, which the Renewed Hope administration of His Excellency President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR is know for.

Most Ndigbo (I’m ATIKULATED and always will be….) complained bitterly how Peter Obi was rigged out of the 2023 presidential election by a very few clicks headed by the former President Buhari. Mahmood Yakubu selfishly allowed himself to be used to rig the election.”

“So, the Ibo leaders now claiming that the Yorubas and Hausas/Fulani etc. voted Tinubu to power, so Ndigbo should not join the national protest against Tinubu’s devilish government, are shameless liars. If I may ask, who is Chief Ayo Adebanjo? Chief Ayodele Adebanjo is the foremost Yoruba leader (Afinefere President-General) who supported Peter Obi and went a notch higher by refusing to meet Tinubu (a fellow Yoruba man) and Atiku Abubakar during the 2023 presidential election, proclaiming his total support for an Ibo man (Peter Obi).”

“Has Ndigbo forgotten so soon the bravery displayed by Peter Obi’s deputy, Alhaji Datti-Ahmed (a Fulani man) who openly warned that Tinubu should not be sworn in as the President of Nigeria? So, why are the self-serving Ibo leaders urging Ndigbo not to join the very important protest to rescue the country from thieves and Certificate forgers? The answer is not far fetched; to continually enrich themselves and families while others wallow in abject poverty.”

“However, these are the same Ibo leaders who were shouting of the marginalisation of Ndigbo, which made Uwazulike to launch, Movement for Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), which further propelled Nnamdi Kanu to set-up, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and other Biafra agitators. Now the same greedy so-called Ndigbo leaders wants to please Tinubu and make Ndigbo a perpetual enemy to the silence majority of the good people of Nigeria. It cannot work.”

“The same Ibo leaders have lied to the Ibo youths that their non- participation in the national protest is a veritable sign that Ndigbo are no longer part of Nigeria, that Biafra has come to stay; when the Ibo youths believe the lie, the same Ibo leaders will make a U-turn and make the youths escape goats, in the same manner they did to Nazi Nnamdi Kanu. What these people are doing is simple; self preservation. If I may ask again, why is it difficult for the Ohaneze Ndigbo to arrange for Nnamdi Kanu’s bail now that the Apex Court has faulted his bail cancellation by the Federal High Court?”

“Were the same Ibo leaders sleeping when who is who in Yoruba land trooped to save Sunday Ighoho from Buhari even in a foreign land? All they want is to save their jobs and benefit from Federal government contracts as the saboteurs of Ndigbo. And force other Nigerians to regard Ndigbo as a sellout.”

“Please my good people of Ndigbo, don’t agree with anybody! Join your fellow patriots to protest against the evil regime of a click hellbent on exterminating Nigerians.”

We call on Inspector General of police, and the DSS to track and investigate the phone numbers of these fraudsters that hide under the auspices of  “Norland Investment to defraud unsuspecting Nigerian of their hard-earned money, they promised to double their investment, but the moment your money enter their account, they will remove you from their WhatsApp platform which they created for that purpose and will never pick your calls again said one victim who does not want his name mentioned.

He said that it will be easy for the police to track and investigate them, because if you chats them with the phone numbers I’m going to provide here, they will respond and even add you to their WhatsApp platform and so on. With that they have defrauded a lot of Nigerians.
