The Labour Party Presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, no doubt is popular even in the Northern region as he pulls unimaginable crowd in his various campaign in the Northern states of the country. The electorates from the area has shown him emotional support and love such that he is now measuring with the big weight political parties, APC and PDP.

But amidst all all support the Labour Party has generated overtime there is intentional or unintentional danger, all over the world, party logos are as powerful as party itself, because it is the only symbol of of party identification symbol that is displayed during election and so, if any political party chooses logo or symbol that is unpopular and unknown to the electorates, some elite and illiterate class will be  defranchised, the party will be adversely affected.

How do I mean? When I was watching television yesterday, I saw Mr. Peter Obi educating the electorates on how to vote for his party, demonstrating his party logos and colon for thumbprint, I watched with disappointment, to observe that the party logo, printed by INEC is: ‘LP’ instead of the known logo and symbol which was; ‘human image’. This may seem trivial but it is a very big error and tragic oversight on the part of the party.

To buttress my point, as you read this write-up right now, voters education is still going on in remote villages where their party supporters  are misinforming the electorates that they should thumbprint on image colon as as their party symbol of identification for voting,

The danger is that failure will be massive if enough education, reorientation and enlightenment is not done as a matter of urgency.

This is not one of my critical write-up, but written to give direction and guide the party aright in order to circumvent the impending danger ahead of the labour party in 2023 general election.

I’m talking from experience, in 2003 when I contest for Governorship under the auspices of National Conscience Party (NCP). I was privileged to visit many pooling units within my area, that PAC had no candidate in any of the positions being voted for, but majority voted for PAC without any candidate, the uneducated elderly people that last voted made the same mistake, when the electoral officers and party agents asked them which party do they intend to vote for the they said that they have voted for PDP,  what confused them was the fact that PAC Party symbol was   a healthy small tree that looks like an umbrella in shape, though PDP won the election but PAC came third without campaign and without any candidate in those pooling units.

“It baffles me that Nigerians especially the youths does not want to think with their heads to fantom the reason behind me a Yuruba man endorsing an Igbo man, Tinubu being of the same tribe with me is more of a brother to me than Peter Obi, I should have endorsed my brother if he is credible or good enough for Nigerians or my former vice, Atiku, because they are Bird of a feather, partners-in-crime, that’s why I refrain from doing so, posterity will not forgive me if at my dying age I chose to deceive Nigerians”.

“Atiku stole 500 hectares of land belonging to Poor widows in Adamawa when he was not even the president, If Atiku becomes President, Nigeria will never wake up from the shock”.

The police in Ebonyi State have paraded suspects and recovered assorted arms in connection to the Ekoli-Edda Mayhem, which occurred in Afikpo South local government area of the State on the 26th of December 2022.

It would be recalled that 3 persons including a police inspector lost thier lives, and properties worth millions, including a house belonging to the APC chairman, Mr Stanley Okoro Emegha were destroyed.

“The protracted political rivalry/supremacy struggle between the duo, is the cause of the showdown that took place. Interestingly, the two political stalwarts hail from same community, belong to same political party and even live in close proximity.

One of the suspects, Egwu Famous Chinedu, the Town Crier, was said to have chanted war songs, “amidst hitting/blowing of his gong/trumpet, respectively, which galvanized the youth into further àction, hence, the rampage and escalation of the brouhaha”.

“The investigation further revealed that an attempt to arrest one Aruah said to be the leader of the Ekoli-Edda Youth warriors, brought in the warriors who were reserved for the purpose of fighting in the Boundary Dispute between them and a neighbouring community in Cross River State. The said warriors wielded sophisticated prohibited firearms and their actions further degenerated the situation.”.

While commending the timely response of the State Governor, Engr David Umahi, who immediately ordered for the arrest of the suspects, called on the youths of the area to learn from the lessons thereof and avoid all forms of crime and criminality.

The All Progressives Congress, Ebonyi State has officially flagged-off its Statewide local government Campaign rallies.

The flag-off was held Wednesday in Iboko, headquarters of Izzi Local government area of the State.

Addressing a mammoth crowd of Party supporters at the event, the APC governorship candidate for the State, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, pledged to govern the State with the core values of honesty, integrity and dedication.

Nwifuru, Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, further pledged to bring innovations in the State civil service, education, health, Agriculture, infrastructure and other sectors, in line with the strong foundation already laid by his predecessor.

Right Honourable Nwifuru emphasized that his administration would encourage entrepreneurial education through the introduction of local dialects in schools curriculum for the teaching and learning of science and technology.

Describing himself as a child of destiny, he attributed his achievement so far to God’s grace, and his externalized principles of dedication and diligence to duty, promising to bring the attributes to bear in his governance if elected.

“I am a destiny child who rose from grass to grace

“I will govern with my core value of honesty and integrity, touching on education, health, agriculture and entrepreneurial sector.

“I will introduce our dear dialect in the curriculum of our school in teaching of science and technology.”

Governor David Umahi, while soliciting support for the Party’s Presidential candidate, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, the governorship candidate, Francis Nwifuru, and others, noted that Ebonyi State would be better off with an APC government at all levels.

Emegha said the Party was delighted with the its choice of governorship candidate as endorsed by the Governor.

Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress and erstwhile National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New People’s Democratic Party (nPDP), Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze has expressed gratitude to the Court of Appeal for resolving the travesty of justice perpetrated by Justice Obile and some other Judges of the High Courts in a bid to unjustly stop the Rivers State Chapter of the APC and its candidates from participating in the scheduled 2023 general elections on grounds unknown to law and strange to our jurisprudence.

Recall that in a three separate judgements on an appeal brought by the APC, its Governorship Candidate -Pst. Tonye Cole and the National and State Assembly candidates, arising from the earlier judgement of a High Court presided over by Justice Emmanuel Obile which sacked the candidates of the party following a suit by George Orlu and others over claims of exclusion from the party’s delegate congresses, a three-man panel of the Court of Appeal led by Justice Lawal-Shaibu, cured all defects and cleared every hurdle on the path of the Rivers APC ahead the elections.

In a statement made available to media houses in Port Harcourt, Chief Eze said the judgements have laid to rest all speculations and uncertainties about the party’s participation in the elections and reinvigorated the hope of Rivers people for a transparent polls that will result in the emergence of Pst. Tonye Cole and other credible candidates of the APC who will work symbiotically to restore the dignity in public service and set the state on the path of progress.

With the judgement, the party Chief said the ploy to frustrate the participation of the APC and other political parties in the elections and foist handpicked and unprepared persons into power to further plunge the state into stack multi-sectoral retrogression through reckless engagements in fanfare of squander mania has fallen like pack of cards.

He said in acts of reckless haste, Gov. Nyesom Wike had severally boasted that neither APC or any other political party will participate in the 2023 general elections except the candidates of his faction of the PDP. Now that the appeal court has returned the APC and other of the political parties back on the ballot, one need not have a second thought that the power is definitely set to return to the people through the ballots.

The return of the APC on the ballot and coupled with the precurious and confused political state facing Wike considering his unwarranted, unwise and ceaseless fight and threat to destroy his party the PDP, Eze stressed that 2023 will be the worst nightmare to this undemocratic bigot in the politics of Nigeria.

Those who had celebrated over Justice Emmanuel Obile’s strange judgements against the APC to the effect that the PDP will have an easy ride to power as they did in 2019 will now bury their faces in shame and bid the Brick House goodbye come 2023.

Eze congratulated and commended APC faithful across the stage and urged all and sundry to unite and further strategize to sell the candidates of the party to the Electorates for a smooth sail to victory.

He’s been seen countless times, using his media platforms in Finland to issue orders to his armed goons in Eastern Nigeria to launch deadly attacks on millions of people in the region for flouting his Sit-at-home orders.

Simon is a separatist fighting for state secession but has never been brave enough to come home and lead the war from the front in Nigeria.

He is rather igniting and fueling terror on his ethnic group who decline his call for secession.

Simon’s action is stirring up bloodbath – a genocide in the region, and innocent women, children, the aged and youths are the victims dying everyday.

The groups urge the affected individuals to sign a circulated the petition, and share it everywhere, to call on the Finnish Government, EU, The Nigerian Government to Arrest Mr. Simon Ekpa, and investigate all his heinous crimes and terror activities in Eastern Nigeria.
