Seemingly End Of The Road For Tinubu, Other APC Aspirants For 2023 Election

Mai Mala Buni

There is growing concern in the All Progressives Congress over the judgement of a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja which nullified the nomination of Governor Isiaka Oyetola and his deputy governorship candidate, Benedict Alabi, for the 2022 Osun State governorship election.

Ruling on a suit filed by the People’s Democratic Party challenging the nomination of Oyetola and Alabi, Justice Emeka Nwite agreed with the submission of the PDP on the grounds that Governor Mai Mala Buni who submitted their names to INEC violated the provisions of Section 183 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Section 82(3) of the Electoral Act 2022.

The court declared that Governor Mai Mala Buni acted in contravention of the provision of Section 183 of the Constitution when he held dual executive positions as the Governor of Yobe State and the Chairman of the National Caretaker Committee of APC.

The provisions of Section 183 read in part: “The Governor, shall not, during the period he holds office, holds any other executive office or paid employment in any capacity whatsoever.”

While the legal representatives of Osun State governor had promised to appeal the ruling, its implication, our source on Sunday learnt, is already causing panic in the ruling party.

According to legal opinions on the issue, the ruling in its current subsisting nature, means that all actions of Buni while in office as APC acting boss, stand invalidated.

These actions, include the signing of the nomination of Ekiti governor-elect Abiodun Oyebanji, as APC candidate for the June 18, 2022 poll in the state, the nominations of candidates for other outlier legislative polls, as well as the conduct of the party’s elective national convention which gave birth to the current NWC, among others.

The biggest threat posed by the ruling to APC, is the possible consequential disqualification of all its candidates for the 2023 poll, including the presidential ticket of Senator Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima, considering that Adamu’s NWC, conducted the primaries.

Once the NWC is invalidated by the reason of Buni’s involvement, all actions of the NWC, would be deemed null and void.

Reacting to the unfolding legal drama, constitutional lawyer, Dr Kayode Ajulo, said “It is a plague that could have been avoided if only they took my position on Governor Buni’s chairmanship misadventures serious. But the judgement has vindicated me.”

In an earlier statement, dated July 31, 2021, he warned that the party could come to greater grief if Buni stayed, considering the subtle warning in the favourable majority decision.
On Saturday, Ajulo referenced the statement which read in part; “Without prejudice to the ratio decidendi of the majority decision of the Court, it is imperative to state pressistimo and very clearly too that with the unanimous position of the Apex Court that it appears the actions of the APC in permitting a sitting Governor as the Interim Chairman of the Party is in violation of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, it is my sincere view that the Interim Chairman of the APC should immediately step down. My humble but cosmic review of the judgment comes with an indication that the Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni has to vacate his seat, as the Chairman of APC with immediate effect.”

Breaking down the implication of the Friday ruling, he said if the apex court goes with the decision of the high court, the current National Executive of the party, will have to go.

“If the Supreme Court upheld the judgment, the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, and other APC candidates for every elective position will have no business in participating in the 2023 General Election.

“Can one put something on nothing and expect it to stand? Unless some strategic steps are quickly taken, invalidation of the party’s executives and candidates across all levels will be a great disaster to the APC and could mark its total collapse. This development is a stern warning to politicians to henceforth have regards for law and reasoned thoughts,” he reasoned.

But the National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Mr Felix Morka, a lawyer, dismissed the fears being expressed as misplaced.

Speaking with Sunday Tribune in an interview, Morka expressed confidence that the judgment of the High Court would be set aside by the Court of Appeal.

He maintained that Justice Nwite erred in his pronouncement.

He said:” The judgment of the Court is unsupportable. We are confident that the Court of Appeal will upturn the judgment.

“It isn’t supportable by fact of law. What the Governor Buni Caretaker did was ratified by Convention, which is the highest organ of the Party. The Court didn’t avert itself to the fact of the matter.

“So, there is nothing to worry about. That decision will be challenged and we are confident that the Court of Appeal will upturn it.”

In the Friday ruling, the court, headed by Justice Emeka Nwite, sided with the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which initiated the suit, primarily to disqualify Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State, as the candidate of the ruling party in the July 16, 2022 governorship election in the state, eventually won PDP’s candidate, Ademola Adeleke.

But the suit, commenced on April 7, 2022 may be doing a more significant damage to the fortunes of the ruling party, across board, with the trial judge upholding the argument that all Buni’s actions in office as the party’s acting chair, were null and void.

The party chair, alongside the national secretary, by the dictates of the election laws, signs the nomination of every candidate of the party, before such could be deemed valid, by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

With Justice Nwite ruling that Buni, being governor, should not have held another executive position as the acting chair of the party for two years less 25 days.

It will be recalled that Buni, the sitting governor of Yobe State, was sworn in as the acting chairman of the party by the Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN, following the controversial ouster of an elected National Working Committee, chaired by former Edo governor, Adams Oshiomhole, by President Muhammadu Buhari-inspired National Executive Council.

Justice Nwite’s ruling, however, appears in dissonance with the majority decision of the Supreme Court in the appeal arising from Ondo governorship election of October 9, 2020, won by the incumbent Rotimi Akeredolu of APC.

In a razor-thin split decision which favoured him, the apex court held that the conduct of the primary election and nomination of candidates, is an internal affair of a political party, which the judiciary can’t scrutinise.

The majority decision went further in resolving the appeal brought by Eyitayo Jegede of the PDP that even when a political party is in error of its rules, its internal activities can’t still be challenged. The minority report how- ever ruled that Buni’s acting headship of the ruling party, was an incurable constitutional error, which invalidated Akeredolu’s nomination as the party’s candidate, because it was signed and passed to INEC by Buni.

The minority decision of three justices, out of the seven that heard the appeal, had invalidated Akeredolu’s election victory, because of Buni. While the majority decision didn’t go fully into the con- stitutionality of Buni holding two executive positions at the same time, it ruled that not joining the governor as a necessary party, to argue his case directly, weighed in his favour and by extension, Akeredolu’s.

The judgement was given on July 28, 2021. Immediately the judgement was delivered, some top party leaders asked Buni to step down, including Minister of State, Labour and Productivity, Festus Keyamo. Buni, aided by his legal team, heavily backed by the deputy senate president, Ovie Omo-Agege, spurned the call.

Keyamo now speaks for Tinubu’s presidential campaign, while serving as minister. Possibly taking its cue from the stance of the majority ruling, PDP, this time, joined Buni as a necessary party in the suit, which was filed almost nine months after Akeredolu’s narrow judicial escape.

Buni, being joined as a necessary party, must have also emboldened Justice Nwite to go into the merit of the suit, despite the subsisting Supreme Court precedent.

With the appeal arising from the all-important suit expected to advance to the apex court, an opportunity would finally be presented to Buni, to defend himself, and the final court to decide whether he violated the provisions of Section 183 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Section 82(3) of the Electoral Act 2022, by accepting the acting appointment while serving as governor

A Tribute To A Queen That Fed On The Blood Of 4.3 Million Igbos In 1967-1970- By Oyc Boss, Igboayaka

Guidepost News

The national president of Ohanaeze Youth Council, OYC, the apex Socio-cultural youth organization of Ndigbo, Comrd. Igboayaka O. Igboayaka has written a mind blowing tribute to Late Queen Elizabeth II of Britain.

Filled with the indignation of the agonies of the Igbo nation, the indefatigable youth leader of the race recounted on the innocent blood of Ndigbo that was shed during the genocide, as instigated by the British government.

The tribute serves as a retrospect of the pains and agonies of the downtrodden ethnic group which they suffered in the wicked hand of their oppressors.

In his tribute, he wrote:

On Thursday, September 8, 2022, a little darkness befell the greedy Britain, just like the same darkness they masterminded in 1967-70 that befell the most admirable race in the world, the Great Igbo Race.

The massacre was a deliberate attempt to wipe out Ndigbo from the surface of the earth, a similar genocide (holocaust) perpetrated against the Jews by German in 1941 and 1945, as masterminded by Nazi Germany and its collaborators. That brutal attack systematically murdered over six million Jews across Germany, but for the divine intervention of Chukwuokike (God The Creator).

Oh! This little darkness that befell Britain with the passing away of the most inhuman Queen in the world that supervised the Genocide of 4.3 million Igbos, yet they mourn her. Britain is mourning a Queen that lack empathy! How much Ndigbo mourning the death of millions of their people.

It is 96 years of blood torment! Yes, the innocent blood of Igbos that was maimed and killed in an excruciating supervision of “the most “Wicked Queen” that ever lived on the surface of the Earth!

Before her death, I believe heaven must have opened and a tape of 1967 to 1970 genocide against Ndigbo was played before her dimming eyes. She must have seen the Rockets, Bomb shellings shattering the womb of our pregnant women, the death of infants who could not run but were buried in their own blood.

Certainly, the Queen saw how vultures fed sumptuously on the intestines of infant Biafrans who died as a result of starvation, kwashiorkor and those who assumed the shape of the agama lizard. The sight was so pathetic that you can count their ribs from a mile away.

Yes, in a little trance, the Queen watched the most horrible elimination of human lives in Igboland by her Majestic rulership. She must have heard the painful cry of over 1 million innocent babies, pleading for vengeance. At least, she must be lying lifelessly like the lifeless bodies of 4.3 million Igbos killed under her nefarious command and watch.

I saw nothing in Queen but a desperate, soulless and wicked carnivorous being who was smiling at each drop of blood in Igbo land until it reached 4.3 million drops of blood that pacified her satisfaction. Her government was interested in building a great Britain with blood of Ndigbo, (fellow Christians) all in her desperate and greedy adventure to build a hell in Nigeria, while she satirically erected a heaven in Britain

The 1967-70 ocean of blood that up until this moment, flows around Biafra land is currently resting upon the bed of the Queen. And I ask; how can she Rest in Peace(RIP), when her selfish quest to exploit Africa resulted in the blood bath of Innocent Biafrans?

How can she Rest in Peace, when what they planted in Nigeria have not brought peace in Nigeria? It has made Nigeria the most vulnerable country in the world; a country where religion and ethnic crisis is the order of the day.

The 1967-70 “Pool of Blood” in Igbo land that left many children fatherless and motherless and most parents childless which was the brain child of Queen, shall till eternity, remain ever green in our hearts. Yes, she perpetrated that in her bid to satisfy her love for natural resources in Biafra land.

They spilled the blood of our fathers, mothers, children, brothers and sisters in exchange for oil. Yes it was an exchange of oil for oil, the oil from Biafra land and the oil(Blood) from the flesh of Biafra people. It’s the oil(our crude) that glitters the Queen’s face, as she fed on our natural resources and the oil-blood of Biafrans that shrank her face.

At each moment, Queen painted her face, she coated her lips with oil-blood of innocent Biafra that died in the pool of blood. At each time I saw the Queen, her redish lips I had a reminiscence of the ocean of blood that flowed in Biafra land from for three consecutive years, (1967-70).

A Queen that was not moved by the death of minors, infants, pregnant women which made our teenagers suddenly become adult by order of necessity just to defend Biafra land. Yes, Igbo teenagers from 12 to 19 years volunteered to defend Biafra land while the Queen smile with venom to crush this infant soldiers with her foreign alliance.

The Queen has slept not to wake up again. She has joined the 4.3 Biafrans. She made Biafra land, the land of skeletons, the land of skulls. I wonder what is going on in the underworld now; there must be an outburst of terrorism in the land of the dead with the arrival of the world’s best known bloody Queen! A vicious killer!!

The Queen groans and roars in her Majestic apparel when the Nigerian Soldiers she equipped with sophisticated war weapons, played with heads of infant Biafran soldiers they killed like metrix shoot and dribbling of Jay Jay Okocha, chanting a victorious songs. All Hail the Queen!

Had it been she was a mother of peace, that looked on the surface of the earth with the eyes of love, no blood could have been shed in Biafra land, but she was a mother that exalted her throne more dearly than human life.

The Queen was patriotic to British Government than being humanistic; empathy disappeared in her heart, because African(Igbo) blood meant nothing to her.

The Queen ought to know that the new generation of Igbo extraction is in severe pains in retrospect of the horrors of the story of genocide, a holocaust approach like the Jewish.

Oh! This is indeed a sober moment to us; the death of the Queen to me is simply a reflection of the death of 4.3 Igbos killed. We are in a sober reflection, but not because the Queen is dead. We have been thrown into a state of wonderment as to whether she received a royal welcome in land of the dead.

All those innocent victims of Biafra genocide could have offered the world the best service to humanity and I ask again; Wouldn’t the innocent Igbo kids that died under kwashiorkor mob her? I still wonder.

I am always engulfed in goose pimples whenever I reflect on the “OPERATION NO MERCY: SHOOT EVERYTHING ASIDE” a military operations code for the elimination of the remaining civilians in Igbo land by 3rd Marine Commando from Portharcourt under the command of Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo that eliminated Igbo men, women, little children and school children.

The most horrific of it all was when those military vampires led by Olusegun Obasanjo approached Mbaise. Without mercy, they maimed and killed innocent school children who were on returning home from school. The most miracle that took place in this massacre was the “SAY YOUR LAST PRAYER ORDER” an order the Queen Sucking bloody soldiers gave to some innocent school girls before shooting them dead. The soldiers had approached one of the school girls, Miss Chinwe Ohaeri asked her to say her last prayer, ( meaning that the school girl Miss Chinwe Ohaeri should conduct her funeral before they kill her ). This last prayer order befell the innocent school girl at Mbaise in the present Imo State, under the command of Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo who fired several bullets into the body of innocent school girl at Okpofe Mbaise with just Miss Chinwe Ohaeri as the only survivor of that gruesome attack.

The then Miss Chinwe Ohaeri is now Prof. Chinwe Obaji who brought many education reformations into the Ministry of Education at the shortest sketch of time she became the Minister of Education under the same emotionless and brutal Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo, who had ordered the firing of several bullets into her body. There were the likes of this personality we lost during this genocide.

The so called Nigeria-Biafra Civil war was against the International standard and principles of war; Nigeria government with the aid of the Queen breached every principle of war. Their war target was on innocent civilians, bombing of Civilians’ space such like churches, schools and markets.

I wouldn’t forget in a hurry the bombing of Owerinta market that left over 100 civilians dead, and many injured. Uzuakoli market, Ozuabam market in Arochukwu all in Abia State was bombed, the Russian Air-bombers hired by Queen, opened the skulls and brain of helpless civilians and shattered same for vultures to feed on them. Okigwe National High School was bombed, leaving innocent students dead, many injured, the scars and remnants are still there.

It pleased the Queen that over two hundred (200) Biafran Soldiers who reported at the end of the Genocide (war) were slaughtered in Portharcourt by the same 3rd Marine Commando under Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo command. What a Queen!

This is also like the October 1967 Osowa Ogbe Asaba massacre by Nigeria 2nd Division under Murtala Mohammed, during which Ibrahim Haruna and Ibrahim Taiwo slaughtered over Seven hundred (700) Igbos especially male children, adult male, in a disguised gathering to address them. This depredating act still traumatize Ndigbo, yet the perpetuators the Queen and cohort toast cup of celebration at Buckingham Palace, the cup of wine signifies the blood of Innocent Biafrans

The agony of Ndigbo was reflected on the letter Gov. Akanu Ibiam wrote to Queen in 1967. Ibiam in a hard pain-heart exclamation stated thus: “It is simply staggering for a Christian country like Britain to help a Moslem country militarily to crush another Christian country like Biafra. This is just too much for me, Your Gracious Majesty. This act of unfriendliness and treachery by the British Government towards the people of Republic of Biafra who, as Eastern Nigerians, had so much regard for Britain and British people.

Continuing, Ibiam wrote: “In the circumstance, Your Majesty, I no longer wish to wear the garb of the British Knighthood. British fair play, British justice, and the Englishman’s word of honour which Biafra loved so much and cherished has become meaningless to Biafrans in general and to me in particular. Christian Britain has shamelessly let down Christian.
I love the Republic of Biafra very dearly and pray that, by the grace of God, she may remain and continue to grow and live and always act like a true Christian country for all times”.

Like shortest verse in the bible” Jesus Swept” And “Ibiam wept” to British Government those that honoured him with Highest honor, yet his passionate letter couldn’t move the Queen’s heart, but she locked and hardened her heart, just like the biblical Pharaoh.

The Imperial Majesty of Queen has left historical scars in our existence. And I ask: Can they look forward on how to atone and appeal to Igbo New generation for her sins of 1967 to 1970? A reconciliation is possible if Britain can do the needful, their sins can be forgiven.

Will those who subjugated the Africans and killed her fathers and mothers and kids in Igboland find peace in God ever?

Rest in peace(RIP) is a farewell message for those who built Peace in the World and not vicious killers like Queen Elizabeth 11!

Deceitful: Why  The Most Strategic Location For Flyover Bridge Is Forgotten By Gov Umahi – Okposi People Cries Out

By Prince-solomon Okorie, Guidepost News International

As Gov Umahi senatorial candidature is still uncertain, Okposi people are patiently waiting for another payback time which will come with a twinkling of months that will usher in new leaders come 2023. It is then and only then will they decide wether they will vote for David Umahi for fulfilling all his campaign promises to their people or vote against him for falling short of his promises, a situation which they described as ‘not a business as usual, we can’t be fooled again’ They cried out.

Umahi is known as a man who honours his words when it comes to fulfilling campaign promises. But to the chagrin of every right thinking Okposi man who are bewildered and astonished to observe that Gov. Umahi whom they believe so much in, that he will carryout Okposi Court Area Roundabout Flyover as he promised during his campaign. It is important to note that after removing the roundabout structure during road construction, there is no passing day fatal accidents that claim people lives does not happen on that spot.

It is rather astonishing as to the reason why Gov Umahi has not commenced construction of the promised Flyover Bridge in Okposi as promised, some persons who plead anonymous interviewed in the area by our newsmen has this to say:

“The Governor is simply witchunting Okposi people, tell me why the governor is not satisfied with all the infrastructure he built in his village in Uburu, including two unnecessary Flyovers on a straight road that is devoid of traffic, for this reason, it is intentional for the governor not to construct the promised Flyover on the most suitable and strategic interjunction located at Okposi Court Area, where six roads interjected: one leads to Onicha another leads to Uburu another leads to Amasiri and yet another leads to Okposi-Okwu and another leads Mgbom Okposi- behind Okposi motor Park, while one leads to Ugwulangwu. There is no justification for not constructing the most suitable and strategically located interjunction for Flyover, six most important roads met on that junction”. one said.

“Another said we promised him first and second tenure and gave it to him but now we are not under any obligation to vote for him in his senatorial race if he did not treat us fairly, you pressmen should help me tell him that three people he is using to pilot the affairs of the three communities and his delegates alone can not make him win senatorial election, they are entirely on their own, and they only have one vote each, we plead with the governor to fulfill his own part of the bargain and leave the rest for us” another assured.

“Gov David Umahi of Ebonyi State no doubt has done well in infrastructural development, he has constructed about 14 Flyover Bridges and solid roads on concrete since his first tenure. It is verifiable that seventy percent of his achievements as two term governor of Ebonyi State (for 8 years) is in Uburu, his hometown, tell me why it is difficult for governor to fulfill all his promises to Okposi people, a village next to his own village, God is watching”. he lamented.

It’s Difficult For A Poor Man To Make Heaven—  Prophet Jeremiah

By Joy Onuoha

Prophet  Jeremiah  Okoye of City of Grace Royal Assembly  Church Abakaliki has  said that is too hard for a poor man to make heaven due to their ignorance to honour God

Prophet Okoye made this known while  preaching  on Sunday Service on the ‘Secret of how to Prosper’

He stressed that Christains who look down on men of God does not honour God

” A poor man is full of pride, when his blessed and succeed in life, the next he does is avoid church activities and will not come to church to show appreciation to  God or to support God’s work

“Its only a poor  man that have time to gossip against the man of God and church  but rich men don’t have time for that”.

The Prophet also disclosed that  the secret of prosperity does not base  on qualifications or certificates, he added that Christians need to put God first in everything they do, so things will go well with them

” I notice that native doctors  honour  God more than some Christians, because native doctor do not joke to call upon God first in the morning with their kolanuts but many Christian don’t care to pray before leaving to work or before bed time due to ignorance to honour God “

Prophet Okoye noted that for a man to prosper,  he must enter into Covenant, either with God or devil, because if he does not belongs to any kingdom, he can’t prosper or succeed in life, even if he make it, there are forces that will  bring he down

” You have to identify with God and keep your covenant with him. Any man who prosper or succeed have a covenant that keeps him going forward, you need to learn how to observe and keep to convenant because to make covenant is very easy but to keep it is very hard due to rules that guide it”.

Meanwhile, the Prophet has charged the Christian’s to learn how to honour God and putting him first in everything in order to prosper and succeed in life, while he also advised them to avoid bad associates

” Who you associate with   determines how far you go in life,  someone under curse not prosper  can afflict you with it, there  are some  friends coming around to discover your secret in order to destroy you,  you need to learn how to keep your secret, those who carry your secret outside are not  your friends,  you need to keep them far from you to eable you prosper and succeed in life ” he concludes.

Editor’s note: the above is opposed to Jesus sermon that says ‘that it is difficult for the rich to enter God’s kingdom’

Youths Were Deceived By Our Fathers, Time To Correct That Deceit Is Now– Hon Ogbonnaya Agwu

By Prince-solomon Okorie

Ahead of 2023 general election the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) is challenging the ruling party APC and PDP on producing credible candidates, it is observed that former teeming supporters aforementioned political parties have left their party to contest election in APGA.

Hon. Ogbonnaya Agwu who is to  represent Ohaozara west constituency in Ebonyi State House of Assembly has declared his intention to run for the House of Assembly in the fourth coming general election under the platform of All progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in 2023.

The reason is that “since when we were infants, we were told a white lie that youths are leaders of tomorrow, little did we know that we have been ‘scammed’ by that statement because tomorrow is endless, and  since then our fathers, grandfathers and great grandfather who utter that deceitful statement has been the ones leading the youths, I urge my fellow youths to join me in the fight for justice.
