ANUAGATA DC COORDINATOR CALLS FOR PEACE, FORGIVENESS AND RECONCILIATION AMONG OKPOSI OKWU PEOPLE.
During a Town Hall meeting held recently at at the DC Auditorium organized by the coordinator of Anuagata Developement Center, Chief Barr. Ogbonnya Amos , the meeting was the first of its kind as dignitaries from the community were in attendance. The Coordinator appeal to everyone he had wronged in one way or the other during his first administration as the DC coordinator, to forgive him as he has forgiven all those who wronged him. He said that the reconcilation meeting became neccesary as transition year in political calendar draws nearer, moreso, peace must be achieved in order to further developed the community, he added that it is said thst he is arrogant and does not carry his people along, he therefore promised to run an open-door and all inclusive administration to amend the mistakes of the past. The 44 village chairmen who were in attendance thanked the coordinator whom they said have achieved so much, the chairmen also reported some of the problems facing each village, ranging; from faulty boreholes, electricity problems, dilapidated bridges and culverts and security challenges which the coordinator took inventory and promised to adress them shortly. Chief Amos said that he observed that one big challenge facing the community is dis-unity and lack of a political a leader, they gave one munite silence to their late political leader Dr Igwe Ajanwachku and for this reason he appointed Onyiba Basey Chima as their new political leader so that the community challenges can easily be presented to the Governor through him as an EXCO member and the highest political office holder from the community. He enumerated some ohf his achievements which includes; paying workers impress in 2015, grading of okposi-Ugulangu road, drilling of boreholes and repaired faulty ones, roofing of one class room block at Isi Okposi High School. Through Ebonyi State Community and Social Development Agency Ten million Naira(#10,000,000) was given to Anuagata DC for community development and the money was used for electricity extention at Amangwu, another ten million Naira was also given by the same Agency facilitated by Uguoeze the wife of the king H R H Onyiba Chukwu Agwu which was used to build market shops at Odenigbo markek, boreholes was drilled at Enunwabosi and Odenigbo respectively, through Ugoeze again another ten million was generated and it was used to build another market shops at Akanu. One Mr Sunday Chukwu informed the coordinator of his intention to construct a bridge at Amangwu and he was permitted to do so. The State government assisted the community by building new class room block at Government Secondary School Okposi and two class room blocks at Enechi Ekuma Primary School, in January 2019 another money was given that was used for construction of Nwogbegu bridge, then in May 2019 the DC under his watch constructed another bridge at Azuhu Awoke. The ten million Naira which the Governor promised during his campaign to all the communities in Ebonyi State was given and it was used to start an onging bridge construction that link Amoja village to Etiti, the coordinator praised Governor Umahi for fufilling his campaign promises. At the end he projected to construct more bridges and grading of roads and drilling of more borehole. In his adress, Onyiba Basey Chima SA to the governor on Petroleum Oil and Gas thanked the coordinator for calling for such a meeting and added that Okposi Okwu are conscienntious people blessed in wealth as a result hard work and innovativeness but the only problem confronting the community is dis-unity among themselved and he urge them to become one as God has made them one, he told them to realize that they are in transition tenure and if they are not united they will lose out on dividend of good governance. He said that he was not happy because, Okposi Okwu people who are first class in business, renowned in hard work but politically backward, he promised to reach other stakeholders so as to have a larger formidable house during the next meeting. He appreciated the people for appointing him as their political leader and promised not to dusappoint them.

The senator representing Ebonyi central senatoral zone Senator Joseph Obinna Ogba has broke record that has never been recorded in the history of Ebonyi central zone at his country home Akalagu in Ishielu Local government Area of the state.
Addressing Journalist, senator Ogba noted that it is out of his willingness to celebrate couple who he sponsored to gain thier marrital vow over the years, adding that his adimistration will not fail to support them for their complementary roles towards rebuilding peace
His words: I am happy to see you today, I will create a platform where I can attend to your individual needs and will empower those of you that needs empowerment, this an inaugural meeting and I will make it an annual event. By the vertue of the fact that I sponsonred your marrriages you are now my adopted sons and dauthers and your children are my grand children, we are now one family, I can assure you, with this meeting we will be acquainted with one another”. He sympatized with one of them that lost her husband to death.
Unlike political promises that characterise such event, the law maker admitted that it was not politically motivated as he does not even know some of them out of over 80 couples he sponsored, he said he started the programme back then when he was the PDP state party chairman over 18 years ago.
He stressed the need for family to be united to toe the trajectory of peace as the fulcrum of human development.
Furthermore, senator Ogba advise the couple to always bring up their children in the way of th Lord.
Noting that there is no family that doed not have problem but always learn how to resolve without third party.
Some of the beneficiaries; Engr. Ekuma Innocent, Dr. Clenus and Barr. Anselem Enigwe former Ebonyi LG chairman who speak on behalf of the beneficiaries said that it was a rare privilege that Sen. Ogba chose to sponsor their marrusges even before he became a senator, they further congratulated senator ogba for his kind gesture in meeting up their heart desires especially sponsoring them to exchange marritel vows as most of them do not have money back then by implication they would have miss their spouses.
